Pumpkin Spice Cake

I was trying to be creative with the photography...which led to Emily mocking me!
I'm unappreciated in my family, I tell ya!  They did like the cake though~ that's the perk for them when I blog!

Pumpkin Spice Cake
Spice Cake Mix (dry)
1 3/4 cup pumpkin (1-15 oz can)
1 small vanilla instant pudding (dry)
1/2 cup oil
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

Mix together well.  Pour into a greased,  9x13 cake pan. (Batter will be thick).  Bake as directed on cake mix box.  Cool completely, frost with cream cheese frosting.

Cream Cheese Frosting
1-8 oz pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter (one stick)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar

Combine ingredients and frost cooled cake.

*My notes:
My family aren't real frosting lovers, so I used just slightly more than 1/2 of the frosting.
The rest of it I'll probably just eat with a spoon! :)

Halloween Banner

I've been a little challenged with the Halloween/Fall decor this year.  I got my wreath up...and a few pumpkins scattered around...but that's all I got!!!  Obviously, I've been focused on other things (like a wedding:).  Now it's time to step up my game, since there are only a couple of weeks left until Halloween.
I found this super cute Happy Halloween Banner that Julie @ Leelou Blogs made.  Print, Cut, Create~ what could be easier?  AND...It's FREE!!! Even. Better.
Thanks Julie.

A few pics from the wedding.  It was a beautiful day!

No commentary from me.  Everything I wrote just couldn't express the joy of the day.  I think the pictures speak for themselves.

And...The Answer Is?

Does this help clarify?

Of course!  He was hiding "gold" for his action figures to find!  What's a knight if he doesn't have some hidden treasure to look for?  Shane would hide the gold and the action figures (there may have been some combat dudes, a cowboy and a Rescue Hero or two in on the hunt as well, although there was no sign of Spiderman.) would have to find them.
Now I know why I keep finding gold wrapped bouillon cubes scattered all over the house!
That kid has one great imagination!

Have You Any Idea?

Have you any idea what a 9 year old boy might be doing with these?

That's right.  Chicken. Bouillon.  I found a stash of it in his room.
Hmmm....what IS this kid up to?
The answer will be posted tomorrow.
