Arachnophobia!

We've been battling spiders at the new place.
Lots and lots of spiders. We think they might be Hobo spiders.
They are big!
They are In. The. House!
Everyone is a little freaked out by them!

 Rick has killed relocated several.
We bought some spray and sprayed inside and out. Hopefully it works!!!

A few days ago, we were all a little jittery because of the little critters.
We all felt like we had spiders crawling on us. And if something happened to brush against any of us...we'd be doing the "I have a spider on me" dance~ which involves flailing your arms in the air and swatting at whatever it was that you mistook for a spider. Screaming and turning in circles can also be added once you have the beginner moves down.

An errant stream of water from the shower head got me. Glad no one was around to see that.

Later, I was fumbling for the light switch in the garage, and a box brushed my arm. Screams and swatting started all over again.

Rick was assailed by a bush...which he thought was a spider. He screamed like a girl.
Not really.  He did swat the bush though!

Yeah. We don't like spiders so much around here.
I guess I won't be using fake spiders in my Halloween decor this year?

  1. You're not going to need fake spiders, you'll have the real things in your decor!
Spiders give me the willies! I'd be doing the same thing you're doing! Hopefully the spray will do the trick!

  4. Hahahaha! So, I would love to have a video camera in your house to watch all of the spider dances. My little guy got bit on his finger last year. It took over a month to heal! Hmmm...maybe that story's not helping. Good luck!

  5. The spiders have been nasty this year. Even my boys are afraid. I end up being the one who Kills opps relocates them at my house.

  6. Seriously. YUCK! I've told my kidlets that they can't kill spiders outside but spiders inside are just not happening. I just have tooooo many memories of the nasty ones I grew up with in the Midwest! BLECK!

  9. I really don't like spiders either and that photo gave me awful chills! I woke up with some kind of bite on the top of my head this morning and I've been scared of spiders being in my bedroom all day. Hope they leave your house right away!

Hey, I hear you met Ann at a blogging get together. Isn't she a doll. She lives quite close actually to where I used to live before coming back up here, and also to my daughter. She brought food to us when My son passed away last nov. and even came to the viewing. She is a very compassionate person.
Wish I could have been there with all of you. Such fun get togethers.
